Mission Accomplished

Saturday was a great day and a great success. I finished my first half-marathon and had a blast doing it! Most motivating of all for me was being able to see how quickly I was running each mile, so that I could keep pushing it and finish strong. My stats:

overall place:14612 out of 31051
division place:1226 out of 2964
gender place:5506 out of 16606

Part of the herd of 35,000 people who participated
Sure, we were in Indy for the run, but this was the real highlight. The coolest, most retro Dunkin' I've ever laid eyes on. Post race snack of champions: Boston Cream donut. Preceded by a Jimmy John's sub, of course.
On our way out of town we had to pay homage at the White Castle: 10 sliders, a 6-pack of chicken rings, 1 fish sammich, 1 chicken sammy, 2 fries and 2 sodas. They had Barq's Red Cream Soda on tap. I was in heaven!
For all those who are faint of heart, you may want to cover your eyes before scrolling down...

The gruesome aftermath. There was nary a fry and not a single onion spared.
